A litter of puppies and a kitten found pickled in jars in a Dunedin flat. A kitten was found cut in half in a Dunedin cemetary. To this day no-one has been prosecuted. In Huntly, the remains are found of a dog that has been axed to death and then burnt. A small black terrier was punched and stomped to death, the student was fined and sentenced to 4 months home detention. In separate incidents, two Hamilton cats are strangled to death by being tied to a fence with a shoelaces.
A cat’s head, torso and limbs are found separated from each other in an Invercargill park. The number '666' is painted in blood on an adjacent wall. At Flat Bush, South Auckland a dog is found dead hanging on a gum tree. The mastiff-cross was extremely skinny and covered in sores. Scratch marks on the tree suggest the dog had put up a struggle before dying. A German Shepherd is found dead, it's legs were bound with cable ties from severe rectum damage. A jack Russell was violently tortured for half an hour, including pouring petrol down the animals throat. Then finally killed by a garden spade. This dog was beaten, nailed through the head and strangled. The fourteen year old was charged and sentenced to 10 weeks in a juvenile facility. The boy was also a victim of terrible abuse from his parents.
A man recieved a $500 fine after he pleaded guilty For shooting and killing a cat with his crossbow. The crossbow was returned to him despite appeals from the SPCA A South Auckland man, 21, has been charged over the death of a cat which was put in a microwave oven. A dog tied to towbar was dragged down the road one hind leg was ground to the bone, suffered massive skin loss. The dogs paw pads had been also been completely ripped off. Two kittens had their paws cut off by two children under the age of ten, they were laughing saying their feet had fallen off. No charges have been laid.

Reward Terms & Conditions

Terms and Conditions of Reward for Information Leading to a Conviction in the Waitohi Sheep Massacre

To be eligible for a reward you must be the first provider of new information or evidence to the NZ Police that directly results in a conviction of the person/s responsible for the torture and deaths of twelve sheep at Waitohi on or about Monday 23 August 2010.

Paw Justice reserves the right to determine who the first provider of new information was. Paw Justice may consult with the NZ Police to make this determination. Our decision is final and at our sole and absolute discretion.

The reward payable will be $10,000 (inclusive of GST). If you are eligible for the reward, you will be paid within 1 month after the date of a successful conviction and you have supplied us with your bank account details.

To be eligible to receive the reward you must supply us with your bank account details for payment. We will not make payments by cheque or cash. We require a certified copy of your government issued identification. Money will be paid to an individual only and no payment will be made to any Trust, company, partnership or other legal entity whether incorporated in New Zealand or otherwise.

No private information about you will be given to any third party without your permission. 

We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time by notification through the media or our web site. 
These terms and conditions will not be deemed to create a partnership, joint venture, agency or employment relationship of any kind between us and the informant.

These terms and conditions are governed by and will be construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand and you submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
